What this site collects.
Almost nothing, and the page you’re reading is the proof. There’s no analytics here, no cookie banner, and no request to anyone else while you read.
This notice covers this website and the demo form on it. It isn’t the privacy notice for Blackwing: what the product does with a customer’s material is governed by that customer’s contract, and the architecture behind it is set out on the security page.
What this covers, and what it doesn’t
This notice is about the website: these pages, and the form on the demo page. It’s short because the site does little.
It says nothing about how Blackwing handles a customer’s archive, drafts, or approvals. That’s governed by the customer’s own agreement, and the controls behind it are described on the security page.
No cookies, no analytics, no third-party requests
This site sets no cookies. There’s no analytics product, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, and no split-testing tool. Nothing here is counting you.
It also contacts nobody else. Every file a page asks for is served from this domain — the stylesheet, the typeface, the images, the icon. The typeface is a font file kept here rather than called from a font service, which is the usual way a visit to a quiet site ends up reported to a third party.
You don’t have to take that on trust. Open your browser’s network panel and reload: every request goes to this domain and there are no others. View the source of any page and there’s no script pointing anywhere else.
There’s no consent banner on this site because there’s nothing to consent to.
What’s kept in your browser, and what runs in the page
One value, and only to read it. When a page opens it looks in your browser’s local storage for a saved light-or-dark preference and applies it before the first paint, so the page doesn’t open in the wrong theme and then flip. That’s the only thing this site stores in your browser.
Local storage isn’t a cookie. It stays on your device, it’s never attached to a request, and nothing here can read it back off your machine. If your browser blocks storage, the page simply follows whatever light-or-dark setting your system reports. No page on this site writes that value — there’s no theme switch here — and if one is ever added, this section changes with it.
Every script on this site is written into the page rather than loaded from somewhere else, and none of them sends anything anywhere. One marks the page as scripted and applies that saved preference before the first paint; marking it is also what keeps everything visible when JavaScript is off. One fades a few sections in as they come into view, and does nothing at all if your system asks for reduced motion. One runs on the demo page: it counts the characters left in the two long answers as you type, and writes the message for your mail app when you press the button.
Every page here reads correctly with JavaScript switched off, including the form.
The demo form, and where an inquiry goes
The form on the demo page asks for seven things: name, work email, company, role, what you publish now, timeline, and anything you want covered.
Pressing the button sends nothing. The form assembles what you typed into a message and hands it to the mail app on your own device. You see the message before it goes. You can change it, or close it and send nothing at all. It leaves from your address, when you send it. Where the page’s small script is running, the written message also appears on the page, ready to copy, with the address printed beside it — which is what you need if your device has no mail app to open.
No server here receives that form, and there’s no form service in between. Until you press send in your own mail app, what you typed hasn’t left your machine. If you use the copy button, your answers go to your own clipboard and nowhere else.
What you send arrives in one mailbox and is read by one person. It’s used to answer you and to arrange the demonstration. It isn’t added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list. It isn’t sold, rented, or passed to anyone else for their own purposes. Mail sent straight to the address at the foot of any page arrives in the same mailbox and is treated the same way.
Any question about your own inquiry — what’s held, or having it deleted — goes to that same address.
An email crosses the internet the ordinary way and isn’t encrypted end to end. The form is for arranging a demonstration — don’t put anything confidential in it.
If any of this changes
The date at the top is the date this was last true. If the demo form stops going through your own mail app and starts posting to something that receives submissions, this page says so before that’s live, names what receives it, and the date changes.
The same goes for anything else here. This notice describes what the site does today, not what it reserves the right to do.
